Four KC 7th graders figured amongst the fourteen (14 ) inner city youths who excelled in the 2011 Grade Six Achievement Test(GSAT) and were rewarded for their efforts with the Scotia Bank Jamaica Shining Star Awards.
All 14 inner city recipients were given scholarships to the tune of $3million to be divided equally over five (5) years.

The inner city youths along with the top five (5) GSAT scholars island-wide were presented with their awards on Wednesday, August 31th, 2011 at the Shining Star Scholarship Awards function held at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel.
