Four KCOBs Celebrate Election Victories

"You don't have to trim to win nor bleach to reach"- Damion Crawford

KCOB Damion Crawford eked out a narrow victory for the PNP when he turned back JLP Joan Gordon Webley with a 9622 votes to 9408 in the Jamaican national election held on Thursday December 29 that witnessed an emphatic PNP victory over the JLP by 42 to 21 seats.

Thirty year old Hugh Buchanan scored a stunning 13 vote victory over JLP deputy leader and former Minister of Industry Investment and Commerce, Christopher Tufton, following the recounting of ballots for the hotly disputed South West St Elizabeth seat. The son of PNP stalwart Danny Buc and contemporary of Marlon Samuels at KC was ecstatic, "The felling is one of jubilation. I am so excited and words can't explain how we all feel as a team."

Other KCOBs who recorded victories include Delroy Chuck for the JLP in North-East St. Andrew and the PNP Anthony Hylton in Western St. Andrew. Two KCOBs lost: Clive Mullings of the JLP was beaten by PNP Sharon Folkes Abrahams for the St James West Central seat and Timothy Scarlett of the JLP to PNP Mickael Phillips for Manchester North West.

Following their swearing in ,Anthony Hylton has been appointed to the Cabinet as Minster of Industry, Investment and Commerce; the popular Damion Crawford has been appointed Minster of State in the Ministry of Tourism and Entertainment. The portfolios of Justice,National Security and Electoral Matters will be shadowed by Delroy Chuck who is also leader of Opposition Business in the House.
