As a small nation we have made tremendous strides that place us in the hearts of many people at home and abroad. We are a unique set of people. Our presence pervades every region of the globe.

While we embrace who we are, let us use this moment to rethink how much better we can become, how much more we can achieve. Undoubtedly, we have only scratched the surface of our true potential. Let us build on the popularity of our culture and the dominance of our music, culture and athleticism to soar to new heights.

Our schools, athletes, churches, artists, businesses, government officials, civic leaders, farmers and countless others all contribute to “Jamaica, Land We Love”. Let us celebrate safely but with passion, vigor and pride.

The Atlanta Chapter of the Kingston College Old Boys’ Association wishes a very happy 50th independence anniversary to all Jamaicans.
