The Tampa Chapter of the KCOBA held its annual dinner/dance on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the Tampa Letter Carriers Hall in Tampa. Patrons were treated to a sumptuous meal while DJ Mark Swaby provided entertainment that had folks dancing right up to close at 2 AM.

Three KC stalwarts and their wives were honored at the dance. The honorees were: Dr. and Mrs. Glen Laman, a past president and current director of the Atlanta Chapter of KC Old Boys’ Association; Dr. and Mrs. John Williams, and Dr. and Mrs. Selbourne Goode of the Florida chapter. They were all recognized for “relentless work, passion and lifetime dedication to Kingston College.”

The honorees were introduced by Jeffrey Hoyes and awards were presented by Mrs. Suzette Noble, wife of Tampa Chapter member, Norman Noble.

Amid the festivity, several raffle and gate prizes were disbursed. Also, KC’s Principal, Dave Myrie and Mrs Myrie were presented with a token of appreciation by the Tampa Chapter.

Principal Myrie provided a brief overview of some of the progress that the school is making.

The evening ended with patrons craving for more and already looking forward to next year’s event.
