After a real health scare late last year, when he fell ill due to the debilitating disease, Alfred 'Frano' Francis is on the way to full health once more.

Credited with being the pioneer of the now very successful 5K Road Race Circuit, the KC Old Boy says he is feeling a lot better and will be back to full strength ahead of schedule.

"I am at 85% health now," he said. "I am doing a lot of exercise, on the treadmill, bicycle and a lot of core work. I exercise every day to build back my strength."

There are critical components in his recovery process that he has focused on in the last few months.

"To recover fully and get back my strength I am totally focused on my nutrition and my exercise regime. I am resting more and peace of mind is also very important, so I have to reduce my stress levels.

"At the moment I am working on the last 15%," he said with a chuckle.

He said the doctors have told him to check back in the next four months to do an assessment to see where he is, "due to my physical state before the illness I am way ahead of the game, " he boasted.

Francis will be the man in charge again for the Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run 5K which takes place on Sunday February 16th.

Note:  Alfred 'Frano' Francis attended KC during the 1960s.
