Ambassador Stephen Vasciannie started 2017 in his new role as President of the University of Technology (UTECH). His appointment will be for a period of three years.
As president, Vasciannie will carry out the functions of chief academic and administrative officer. He will be principally responsible for implementing policies, and will exercise such executive powers as necessary for the proper administration and operation of the university.
The former Jamaica Ambassador to the United States, Vasciannie was most recently Professor of International Law at The UWI.
