Heartiest congratulations to the Kingston College Swim Team on finishing third in the 2018 ISSA High School and Tertiary Institutions Championship on Friday, November 30, 2018.
Throughout the day the swimmers refused to give up as they battled with Jamaica College to successfully remove them from their usual 3rd place finish. Kingston College ended the day with 199 points.
All swimmers competed like true champions and there were outstanding performances in all the age groups. Kingston College enjoyed many top 8 and medal finishes. Our relay teams were exceptional. Special mention must be made of the outstanding individual performance of Josh Johnson (7 Miller). In the boys 12 and under age group, Josh finished 1st in the 50m backstroke and 50m butterfly and 3rd in the 100m freestyle.
We are also very proud of our 17 and over swimmers. Most joined the team in September of this school year:
Tyriell Bennett
Joshua Maxwell
Tyreke McLean
Michael Pottinger
Tariq Smith
Tiniel Tapfuma
Through their hard work and dedication they we able to secure 2nd place in both relays and several top 8 finishes. We are extremely proud of their performance.
Congratulations to the KC Swim Team. Well done!!
