“If one is lucky, a solitary fantasy can totally transform one million realities.”
Maya Angelou

Some can call it luck, but in this case, it is a combination of vision and intention that formed the Tampa Connection Chapter of the KCOBA.

With an already incredibly successful chapter in South Florida, many could debate that having two KCOBA chapters 150 miles apart and engaged in similar objectives was not a wise business decision. However, Jeff Hoyes was determined to find additional revenue streams that would positively impact the lives of students at our alma-mater.

Along with the assistance of a small army of Old Boys, he set about creating a separate chapter in Tampa, Florida to provide funding for scholarships, tuition, meal assistance programs, athletic programs , and infrastructure improvements.

After an impressive 11 years of service as President of KCOBA Tampa, Jeff’s tenure will end in May, when a new President is elected.

Jeff achieved many goals, yet he was steadfast to unite us to one vision, create a unique experience, which differentiate ourselves from other KC events. By doing so, we created our own brand, an event, and a following which grew steadily year over year.

We thank you for your leadership and look forward to working with you to further differentiate our KC experience and support our alma-mater, and our students.

Fortis Forever.
