KC Old Boy and one of Jamaica's most beloved singers, “Dobby” Dobson, has died in Florida. His full name is Highland Fitzritson St. Aubyn Ralph Dobson.

Dobson was nicknamed 'Loving Pauper' after one of his popular songs.
While at Kingston College he was a member of the chapel choir, and he competed in the Vere Johns Opportunity Hour talent contest as a member of The Twilights. He wrote the chart topping doo-wop song "Cry a Little Cry" as a tribute to his biology teacher. In addition, he recruited a group of schoolmates from the Delta stream at KC to back him on a recording of the song, under the name Dobby Dobson and the Deltas.
He recorded hit songs such as ‘That Wonderful Sound’ and ‘ Mexican Divorce’. His musical journey included stints with legendary producers Coxsone Dodd and Duke Reid, recording as a member of both The Virtues and The Sheiks.
His songs included ‘Trouble Jim’, ‘Seems to me I'm Losing’, ‘Ride Mi Donkey’, ‘Wonderful Sound’, ‘Endlessly’, ‘Strange’, ‘What Love has joined together’, ‘Sweet Dreams’, ‘Muriel’ and ‘Oh Donna’.
In 2011, the government of Jamaica conferred him with the Order of Distinction in the rank of Officer (OD) for his contribution to reggae music and Jamaican culture.
