On Thursday, August 20th, the KCOBA Tampa Connection Chapter represented by David Ashman (89), Keith Rowe (66) & Roland Satchell (78) visited the Shore Elementary Magnet School of the Arts in Tampa and provided backpack and school supplies for 25 students in need.
This effort was the brainchild of David who garnered support from the Tampa Chapter along with our friends within Tampa.
Within two weeks the members of chapter had raised funds, purchased school supplies as well as 25 backpacks which they loaded up with the supplies along with a personal
handwritten note by Christina, daughter of Delroy Rookwood (72), President of the Tampa Chapter.
Overall, the gifts were well received by the Principal Cheri Bollinger and staff who greeted the team with signs expressing their appreciation for the support afforded.
The gifts will go towards students in need identified by the school administration.
Many thanks to the Tampa chapter and their band of donors that supported this effort.
