Old Boy publishes book of poetry
George H. Montague, the author of this collection of uplifting and inspirational poems is a husband and father. He hails from the parish of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica and now resides in Canada. He attended Kingston College from 1978 to 1985. He discovered his Love for poetry at an early age and further developed and nurtured it while at KC.
At KC, George was a leader of his peers and in his sixth Form years was Vice President of the Student's Council and a Senior Prefect. After leaving school he became an active member of KCOBA Jamaica and served as Assistant Secretary and Secretary during Stratton Palmer's presidency. In Canada, he continues to support KC through the KCOBA Toronto Chapter.
Many of George's poems relate to love but he reflected on other issues of the heart in poems like Dad, Forgiveness and Goodbye. He penned his poems from an abundance of experiences.
You will find a “Jamaicanness” woven into the fabric of his poems; yet the inspirational reach of the collection is universal and timeless.
