Bouwahjgie Nkrumie KC’s Class 1 champion in the 100-meter set a new schoolboy record at the recent ISSA Grace Kennedy Boys and Girls Track and Field track and field competition (aka Champs) at the national stadium.

The 19-year-old sprinter ran a blistering under-20 national record of 9.99 seconds in the 100-meter, making him just the third person worldwide to break the 10-second barrier before their 20th birthday.

Nkrumie is the junior men’s 100m record holder and the World Under-20 100m silver medalist.

The ISSA Grace Kennedy Girls and Boys Championships are one of the biggest track and field event involving high school students anywhere in the world. These events are planned around high school students and often attract college coaches from around the world.
