Wayne Hewett, KC Old boy and son of Florida chapter’s Audley Hewett was recently named as one of the top 25 Black Corporate Board Members in USA by Board Prospects in recognition of Black history month.
Board Prospects is an exclusive community of board candidates, including c-suite executives, industry leaders, retired military leaders, university presidents and professors and current board members.
Wayne serves on several boards including Home Depot, Wells Fargo, UPS, Lytx and Cambrex where he is chairman of the board.
He is a Senior Advisor at Permira, a global private equity firm. He has an impressive executive history which includes more than 20 years at General Electric, and roles at Klockner Pentaplast Group (CEO), and Arysta Life Science Corporation (President and CEO).
Hewett attended KC in the 1970’s leaving in 1977.
He received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and a graduate degree from Stanford University. Both degrees are in Industrial Engineering.
He has been a generous but unheralded contributor to various KC projects.
