The Kingston College chapel Choir has been holding its annual Choir Camp at St. Hilda’s High School in Browns Town for several years.
We missed a couple of years due to the pandemic but was able have a camp this year from July 9 to 15, 2023.
18 Choristers accompanied by Choir Director Audley Davidson attended the camp. They were divided into 3 houses and engaged in football and exercise sessions.
The main focus of the camp was to prepare music for this year’s Christmas season and the choir concentrated on learning Vivaldi’s the Magnificat which will be the major work to be presented this Christmas.
St. Hildas did great job looking after the boys who thoroughly enjoyed the camp.
The boys made a video thanking their sponsors which were mainly KCOBA USA, The Spencer Family and the new kids on the block, the Fortis & Friends Foundation (F3). The choir also received some funding from General Painting.
In September, the choir will recruit new trebles from the incoming Grade 7 cohort and prepare them in time to perform at its Annual Christmas concert in December,
