Kingston College in Shock at the Tragic Loss of Old Boy Kevaughn Goldson

The Kingston College fraternity is in mourning following the tragic and untimely passing of Old Boy Kevaughn Goldson, a former student-athlete whose life was cut short in the United States at the age of 23.

Goldson, a talented sprinter and dedicated sportsman, died on February 24, 2026, in Jefferson City, Missouri, after sustaining injuries in an off-campus incident near Lincoln University, where he was enrolled as a senior and a member of the track and field programme. Authorities have since charged a woman in connection with his death. 

News of his passing has sent shockwaves through both the Kingston College and wider Jamaican communities.  According to reports, Goldson had continued his athletic journey in the United States, competing in sprint events for Lincoln University while pursuing his academic goals. 

The circumstances surrounding his death have added to the sense of grief, as friends, teammates, and loved ones struggle to come to terms with the loss of a young life filled with promise. Lincoln University expressed condolences and offered support services to its community, underscoring the profound impact Goldson had on those around him. 

The Kingston College community extends heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, teammates, and all who mourn his passing.
