The St. Hugh’s High School Alumnae Association – Atlanta Chapter‘s 35th Anniversary Luncheon, held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, was a deeply inspiring celebration of sisterhood, unity, service, and impact.
The event beautifully reflected the strong school spirit, collaboration, and unwavering commitment that continue to define the Chapter after 35 remarkable years. A particularly moving highlight of the afternoon was the special recognition of the founding members—visionary women whose courage, faith, and dedication laid the foundation for the thriving organization celebrated today. Their legacy served as a powerful reminder of both how far the Chapter has come and the responsibility members carry to continue building upon their extraordinary work.
The elegant affair was masterfully hosted by Dr. Chris Parker and enhanced by the soulful sounds of a saxophonist, vibrant music from DJ Gregory G, and a delightful culinary experience provided by Awesome Moments Catering. The program featured impactful presentations from Dr. Joseph Whittaker and Naomi Francis, along with an encouraging update from Principal Andrea Bryan-Hughes.
Dr. Whittaker challenged attendees to look beyond academic excellence and focus on preparing students to thrive in a rapidly evolving future driven by technology, artificial intelligence, innovation, and critical thinking. Ms. Francis delivered a passionate call to action, emphasizing urgency, alignment, and collective investment in STEM education while sharing the bold vision of establishing Jamaica’s first high school STEM center at St. Hugh’s.
The afternoon was further strengthened by the spirit of camaraderie and partnership shown through the support of members of the KC Old Boys' Association - Atlanta Chapter, whose attendance and encouragement reflected the power of collaboration across alumni organizations in uplifting Jamaican educational institutions and strengthening community ties.
Special kudos to Assistant Treasurer and Planning Chair Tanya Diaz, School Liaison Paulette Campbell-Haase, and the entire Luncheon Planning Team for executing such a memorable, impactful, and spirit-filled event.
The message throughout the celebration was clear: building upon the strong foundation laid by the founders, the time to act is now.
