The Kingston College Old Boys Association of Georgia (KCOBA-GA) received the prestigious Humanitarian Award recently at the 2026 Atlanta Caribbean Community Awards (ACCA) Ceremony, held on May 30, 2026.
The award acknowledged the association's longstanding commitment to community service, educational support, charitable initiatives, and its dedication to preserving the values and traditions of Kingston College while making a positive impact throughout Georgia and beyond.
The vibrant spirit of the Caribbean diaspora was on full display at the Aawrd ceremony held at the Front Page Event Center in Lithonia, Georgia. The annual event brought together community leaders, entrepreneurs, artists, cultural organizations, and supporters to celebrate outstanding contributions to Caribbean life in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
The ACCA Ceremony has become one of the premier platforms for recognizing excellence within the Caribbean community. This year's event honored individuals and organizations whose work continues to strengthen cultural heritage, promote community development, and inspire future generations.
The Atlanta chapter was well represented by several members and friends including the chapter’s president Dr. Alvin Binns who was on hand to receive the award on behlf of the association.
The evening served as a reminder of the rich cultural diversity and remarkable accomplishments found throughout Atlanta's Caribbean diaspora. Through awards, recognition, and celebration, the ACCA Ceremony continues to shine a spotlight on the organizations and individuals whose dedication helps strengthen the community and preserve Caribbean traditions for future generations.
