Thank you to the past Presidents, especially the immediate past President Errol Ritchie, who served for four consecutive years, the Trustees, Executive Board, Committees and members who have selflessly devoted time and personal resources for the betterment of the community and the advancement of the Atlanta Jamaican Association’s (AJA) mission.

The main mandate of the AJA is to promote friendship, unity, and understanding between Jamaicans and the members of the greater Atlanta community.

The Goals for 2014 are:

  1. To have a healthy organization
  2. To establish support for cultural, educational, financial and social endeavors of the Jamaican community
  3. To provide for inclusion of the Youth as an investment in the future of our community
  4. To establish and strengthen partnerships with other organizations

I invite all of you to share this vision with me, as it is one that can only be accomplished through the participation of each and every single member, fully and equally recognized for their selfless and continuing contribution to the uplift our people and to keep our flag flying high.

I thank you for the opportunity to serve and look forward to a productive year with us all moving forward in one accord.

Sincerely,

Alan
