After  years at the Miramar Cultural center, the famous Big Purple Session is moving to a new and bigger location.

According to Florida Chapter’s Audley Hewett, they are anticipating an attendance approaching 1,200 for this year’s event which promises to be bigger and better than ever.

The new venue is Temple Beth Emet at 4807 South Flaming Road in Cooper City. It has more space and will allow for tables and chairs to be available to attendees.

Audley says he is expecting people from overseas as well as Atlanta, New York, Connecticut and Toronto. The entertainment will feature the Fab 5 Band from Jamaica, artistes such as Gem Myers and Cocoa Tea.  DJ Fern and DJ C Smood will keep the music playing.

The 17th Big Purple Session will be held on Saturday, October 3th, 2015.  The doors will open at 9:00 pm. Tickets may be purchased online at http://www.kcobafl.org/.
