Wayne Pinnock Heading to the University of Tennessee

Pinnock, who won long jump bronze for Jamaica at the Tampere 2018 World U20 Championships, has signed a track and field scholarship with University of Tennessee.

Pinnock is also a very successful sprint hurdler. He beat Dejour Russell and his Champs Class 1 record, which he left at 13.06s in 2019.

He had his sights set on Olympic qualifying but the 2020 Tokyo Olympics were rescheduled for 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic..

The KC hero has a personal best of 8.05m. He jumped a wind-assisted (3.9m/s) 8.14m. He is also the 4th best all-time in the 110m hurdles.
