Former Kingston College footballer Rashawn Mackison is set to leave the island next month to take up a trial with United Soccer League (USL) club Tulsa FC in Oklahoma.

Mackison, who is on the books of Premier League outfit Harbour View, is expected to join former national goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts, who is the assistant coach at Tulsa.

Harbour View FC General Manager Clyde Jureidini told STAR Sports yesterday that the club has received a trial request for Mackison.

"Just recently, we received a request from Tulsa FC and we will allow Rashawn to go on the trial," he said.

Mackison, who played in the US collegiate set-up in the 2018-2019 season with Tyler Junior College, will be hoping to impress Nigerian coach Michael Nsien in a bid to join the numerous Jamaican players that are now playing in the USL.

Tulsa FC were eliminated at the quarter-finals of the USL play-offs recently when they were beaten 4-2 on penalties by former Harbour View youth player Saeed Robinson and his El Paso Locomotiv team.
